The Judges
A bio of the three main judges can be found HERE! Each challenge and the GRAND FINAL will have a Guest Judge. Links to information about each Guest Judge may be found on each challenge page.

The Rules

1 All equipment that is used in the solution to the challenge must be available for up to THREE days after the challenges to allow for proper assessment.
2 Equipment which is "borrowed" from staff and students outside the team must be listed and authorised by a suitable supervisor/employer before hand and a signed lending consent form must be filled out, signed and returned to the judges before the end of the challenge day. Any equipment found in the possession of a team without authorisation will result in disqualification of that team from the challenge.
3 The challenge will be posted at 8:00 am on the morning of the challenge. However, construction work may only commence at 9:00am.
4 The challenge will finish at 5:30 pm on the day of the challenge. All development/construction work must terminate at this time. Between 5:30pm and 6:00pm the teams must produce a web page detailing the design and submit all software with an accompanying description document to the web server and the cvs repository respectively.
5 All teams must have a signed consent form returned to the judges before the first challenge day. Failure to supply a consent form will result in the team being unable to compete in the challenge.
6 Teams may build anywhere they wish. However, on the day of the challenge, a Guest Judge (Field Expert) will be available in the Innovative Interactions Lab to answer your questions and assist your team with design decisions.
7 Any teams caught bribing a judge will be disqualified from the competition.
8 You will be asked by the judges why you made certain design decsions and you may be as creative as you like with your answers (ie. if parts of your system fail, then come up with a nice narrative about why this happened).
9 Teams are responsible for damages to equipment if equipment is used inappropriately.
10 All participants enter this competition at their own risk. Judges shall not be held responsible for any damages or injury incurred as a result of participation in this competition.
11 All judges decisions are final.
